For: Shopify merchants who use a carrier page or a basic order status page and want a better post-purchase experience.
What you can do after reading: Audit the page by information priority and write a clear redesign brief.
A branded tracking page does not need more content. It needs to answer three questions within ten seconds: Is this my order? Where is the parcel? What happens next?
Shopify describes the order status page as the final page of checkout. Customers can track orders and view shipping updates there, while merchants can adjust branding and add information through the checkout and accounts editor.[1]
Build trust first
1. Brand identity
Use the same logo, colors, and voice as the store, but do not squeeze the shipping information to make room for decoration. Continuity reassures the customer that the page belongs to the store.
2. Order identity
Show the order number and a useful product summary. Do not expose full addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers. Shopify may ask logged-out customers to verify the order with contact details and the order number after some time has passed.[1]
Answer the shipping question
3. Current status
Make the customer-facing status the strongest item on the page: handed to carrier, in international transit, reached the destination region, out for delivery, or delivered. Raw messages such as "Shipment information received" can remain in the details.
4. Last updated
Show the date, time, and time zone. Without a timestamp, a customer cannot tell whether the parcel is waiting for a scan or the page has stopped working.
5. A shorter timeline
Keep the milestones that change the customer's understanding. Cross-border tracking may include warehouse, transfer, and customs scans that do not need equal visual weight.
6. Exception explanation
"Delivery exception" is not enough. A useful message says that delivery was not completed, asks the customer to check the address and phone number, and explains where a new attempt will appear. Separate cases where the customer should wait from cases where they need to act.
Finish the service flow
7. Support entry point
Say when the customer should contact the store and what information to include. Keep help easy to find without turning every normal shipment into a support prompt.
8. Content after tracking
After the shipping information, the page can show setup or care guides, related products, reviews, and after-sales links. If the parcel is delayed, the exception message must come before a promotion.

Test before release
Ask someone who did not design the page to find the current location, decide whether action is needed, and find support. If any task takes longer than ten seconds, the page is still organized around system data rather than the customer.
BestTrack lets merchants build branded tracking pages, choose customer-facing milestones, and add relevant recommendations. Clear status information should come before brand or conversion work.
Test one real order today
Open an in-transit order on a phone and give yourself ten seconds to identify the status, the latest update, and the next action. If one answer is missing, fix the first screen before working through all eight items. Retest with an exception order and keep a before-and-after screenshot.
