A click tells you that a shopper interacted with an offer. It does not tell you whether the offer survived discount calculation, order creation or payment. Evaluate the whole path.
Start with exposure
Track impressions and visits by touchpoint. Product page, cart, Checkout, post-purchase, Thank You and Order Status do not represent the same moment, so compare like with like.
Separate acceptance from purchase
An accepted offer is a meaningful action, but it is still not a completed sale. Check the purchased order and the order event that confirms the change. Order edits may require an additional payment URL.
Use revenue and AOV together
Review attributed revenue, revenue per view or visit, purchased orders, AOV and average upsell value. A high click rate with little attributed revenue is a reason to inspect product fit, discount settlement or the checkout path.
Test the measurement path
Run a development-store test from render to order event, including discount calculation and any order edit. BestUpsell reports touchpoint metrics, while the attributed revenue article explains why Shopify order facts matter.
